Our Mission
Proxima Rocketry is a rocketry club open to middle and high school students. Our mission is to bring together like-minded individuals to share and develop our own passion for rocketry and STEM and that same passion in our community by competing, designing and building amateur rockets, designing payloads for launch, and conducting STEM outreach in a fun environment.

OUR BEGINNING
The club was founded in 2021 by Vinay Vetticaden as President and Rohan Krishnan as Vice President. The following year, Vinay and Rohan retained their positions and Stephen Chen became Junior Vice President while membership continued to grow. That year, one of two teams from the club qualified for the National Finals.

Our NASA Student Launch and American Rocketry Challenge teams are comprised of over 20 members.
